D&T

— Released 25th March 2013
Welcome to the latest, fun-filled slice of velvet boogie from Wolverhampton duo Letherette. This fourth EP (heralding the debut album, scheduled for Spring) sees their sun bleached groove truly come into its own. D&T is as exuberant as it is stylish, infectious synth stabs and cut up vocals giving way to to full blown guitar shredding, all the better for its sheer daring.

The remix package comes correct with the mighty Clark taking the funk a tad more industrial, via an Italo-disco synth diversion. Austria's foremost innovator Dorian Concept adds a touch of class with rave-inspired keys and a euphoric, frenetic build. Men of the moment The Invisible add trademark melancholy and sheer, shimmering beauty.
Bonus b-side She Shines shows a gentle side to Letherette, Dilla-style drums and uplifting melodic stabs, locked to the uniquely radiant vocal talent of California duo Jed & Lucia. Once again proving why fans include Gilles Peterson, Benji B and Brackles, and with a growing reputation as a thrilling live act, Letherette are set to take another big leap forwards, in the form of D&T.
